About Maryka & the Chabluk Family

Maryka loves to sing, dance, pray and create music that brings people of all ages great joy.   Her life’s journey has revolved around the Ukrainian community and she will always Stand with Ukraine. 

She identifies as a Ukrainian Canadian deeply rooted in the language and culture. 

Her passion is teaching and preserving Ukrainian language in song. 

Maryka and her friend Iryna Wilson have released two Ukrainian Folk recordings and one Christmas Album under the name “Duet Maryna”. 

She went on to co-produce recordings for her children and their friends  

“Molodtsi”, producing high energy Ukrainian Dance Melodies.

She released her new interactive children’s CD featuring over 200 children aged 4 - 19.   They participated in presenting the 15 songs from this new CD called "Maryka’s Treasures."  Maryka has written these songs to help children channel their incredible energy into having fun, moving, participating and learning English and Ukrainian. 

"Chabluk Family" recorded Easter Hymns in celebration of the Resurrection of Christ.

Maryka continues to perform at festivals, school and community events.   She is an active member of her church and the Ukrainian Community internationally.

The Chabluk Family donates proceeds from the

 sale of their recordings to Home of Hope.

The Home of Hope was established as a safe house to save teenage girls from traffickers. The ownership of the House was given to the Sisters’ Servants of Mary Immaculate for the sole purpose of saving orphan girls who had to leave the Orphanages at age 16. 

Presently there are 22 girls living at the home.

The annual Home of Hope Breakfast has been organized by the Ukrainian Catholic Women’s League of Canada – Manitoba region for the past six years. Their efforts help the Sisters’ Servants of Mary Immaculate Home of Hope ministry in Lviv, Ukraine. For the past six years the event has raised a total of over $100,000.00. The support generated from this event helps the Sisters with the day-to-day operations of the home that ensures the girls can receive an education and develop life skills. Every story is filled with tragedy and most of those that come to the Home, experience a transformation.
